Hi friends!

Last year my nonna Fifina passed away, on December 23rd. At age 96, she had lived through WWII, lost her mother and raised her four sisters, moved across the Atlantic, raised her sons alone in a new country while nonno worked in cargo ships, lived through a dictatorship, economic crises and hyperinflation, and more. She even caught COVID twice and didn’t even have symptoms, such a tough and resilient woman!

Recently I went to MENA, and talking to people from different places, I saw in many of them reflections of a younger version of her. Because of this I wanted to support Doctors Without Borders (MSF)’s crisis relief fund.

As my birthday approaches, I told my friends/family that their time was the most precious gift they could give me. Since many are far away and that won’t be possible, whoever wants to join me virtually, we can celebrate my birthday and remember nonna’s life by supporting MSF’s work and helping younger versions of nonna Fifina get a break.

Nonna will surely be proud of us❣️🙏🏽
